Yes. Since the Z-Morh tunnel opened in January 2025, Sonmarg is reachable year-round. Facilities are fewer in winter, and Zoji La beyond it closes.
Yes. The walk from the road is manageable for most healthy adults. A pony is easier for kids and seniors.
A day trip covers the glacier and the meadow. Stay a night in summer for a quiet early walk, or when you're driving on to Ladakh.
