The Vaishno Devi Bhawan is the holy cave shrine in the Trikuta hills, about 12–13 km uphill from Katra at around 5,200 ft. Every pilgrim needs a Shrine Board RFID yatra card. You can walk (4–8 hours up), take a pony, palki or pithu at Shrine Board rates, or fly by helicopter from Katra to Sanjichhat for a shorter final walk.
