Quick answer

Leh Palace is a 17th-century, nine-storey royal palace above the old town, built during King Sengge Namgyal's reign. Now protected, it's partly restored, with small exhibits and a rooftop view over Leh and the Stok range. The walk up through the old town lanes is part of the experience, but take it slowly at altitude.
