Quick answer

The Sindh river runs down the valley from near Zoji La past Sonmarg and Kangan to Ganderbal. The drive along it is one of Kashmir's most beautiful, and in the warmer months you can raft sections with registered operators. It's also known for trout; angling needs a Fisheries permit.
