Compared with the five-night Honeymoon with Houseboat plan, this one adds a Sonmarg night and a seventh day. The nights are a houseboat, Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg and two in Pahalgam, so there are four hotel changes after the first night.

Sonmarg’s day includes Thajiwas glacier by pony or on foot; stay on marked paths, as glacier sections collapsed in 2024. Suggested period: May to October.

• Six nights are split Houseboat (Dal/Nigeen) 1 · Srinagar 1 · Sonmarg 1 · Gulmarg 1 · Pahalgam 2. There are four changes of stay. The longest stay is 2 nights in Pahalgam.
• 2 nights in Pahalgam leave one day there that is not a transfer day.
• The day plans schedule Mughal gardens, old city, Thajiwas glacier area, Gulmarg Gondola (tickets separate), St Mary’s Church, Aru. Entry tickets, ponies and local vehicles are not included unless the inclusions list them.
• The record rates five of the seven scheduled days as easy and two as moderate.
• It includes a houseboat night on the lake. A houseboat room booking is assumed; exclusive use of a whole boat is a separate arrangement.
• The plan price covers rooms on twin sharing in the chosen tier; breakfast and dinner daily; private cab for all transfers and sightseeing (driver, fuel, tolls, parking).

• Privacy: say whether you prefer quieter properties or a particular location. We ask the property and confirm.
• Room arrangement: plans are priced on twin sharing. Tell us if you want a double bed or a different layout, and we confirm what the property offers.
• Houseboat: a room booking is assumed. Whether you want the whole boat to yourselves is a separate request and a separate price.
• Pace: ask for fewer activities in a day or an extra night somewhere. A change in nights changes the quotation.
• Optional extras such as room decoration or a candle-light dinner appear in the add-ons list where they are available. They are quoted separately and are not part of the plan.

We do not include romantic extras, upgrades, cakes or decorations in the plan unless the quotation says so.

• Pahalgam valleys

  Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari need a local union vehicle, about ₹2,500–3,500 per vehicle per day, paid locally.

• Hill roads

  Cabs run with the AC off on steep hill roads.

• Winter

  Snow chains are carried in winter.

• Houseboat: lake and room conditions differ by month. Heating and facilities are confirmed for your dates.

Practical Preparation for This Trip

• Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. Your driver meets you at Srinagar airport or the railway station, and how much of day one remains depends on your arrival.
• Clothing: Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahalgam are higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
• Walking: two days are rated moderate in the record (for example a meadow walk or a pony or foot approach). The rest are easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
• Houseboat: you reach the boat by a shikara, usually with bags carried by boatmen. Tell us if boarding, steps or narrow passages are a problem.
• Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
• Tell us before booking: room and bedding needs, food preferences, mobility or access needs, and children’s ages. We pass them to the property and confirm what is possible; nothing is promised until your quotation states it.
