Kashmir trips planned around your dates and group
Plan My TripA lake city of gardens, wooden mosques and houseboats, and the base for Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg.

A sunset shikara, a night on a carved houseboat, the early-morning floating vegetable market.

Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi step down the Zabarwan hills towards the lake.

Jamia Masjid, Khanqah-e-Moula and the lanes around them, the part most visitors miss.
Classic views and a lively lake.
Quieter, often more refined.
Lake-front hotels, easy access.
Calmer, good mid-range hotels near the Jhelum.

Srinagar is the easiest part of Kashmir for seniors: low altitude, short drives and flat gardens. The Shankaracharya Temple has many steps and can be skipped.
Not strictly, but a local guide makes the lanes, shrines and crafts far more meaningful. We can arrange one for half a day.
