Understand How Your Group Trip Is Arranged

This is a private trip for your own group. The arrangements we propose are for the booking group, within the scope your quote states: a private cab with a driver for the transfers and sightseeing listed, and stays and meals as the quote sets out. It is not a scheduled shared tour, and joining other travellers is not part of it.

We publish no fixed departure dates and no open seats, and our records state no minimum or maximum group size, so none is advertised here. “Friends Group” describes who the plan is organised for. It does not mean a tour leader or manager travels with you, and it does not mean exclusive use of any hotel or activity.

Is This the Right Route for Your Friends?

• It fits groups who have five nights available for the ground trip and want the three listed destinations: Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
• It fits friends who are willing to agree on room sharing and on common travel timings, because one vehicle and one day plan serve the whole group.
• It fits groups whose vehicle and activity needs match the actual itinerary: gardens and the old city, a Gondola afternoon, and the Pahalgam valleys.
• If your group wants different arrival dates, additional destinations or separate activity plans, those arrangements need to be included in the quote.
• We do not assume nightlife, parties, adventure activities or alcohol-related experiences from the audience label. Nothing like that is in the plan.

Your Five-Night Stay Plan

The order of the stops follows the day-wise itinerary below. Nights are stays, not day visits: a place you only visit by day is not counted. Hotel names, room categories and availability are shared in your quotation before confirmation.

Agree the Room Plan Before Comparing Prices

A group quote is only comparable once the room plan is the same. Settle these first, then compare like with like:

• Twin or double beds. Plans are priced on twin sharing unless your quote says otherwise.
• The number of rooms, and who shares with whom.
• Triple occupancy only where a property actually offers it. Three people in a room is not the same as three standard beds: it may mean an extra bed or an extra mattress, and these are different arrangements.
• Single-room requests. A single-occupancy supplement may apply and is stated in the quote. We do not publish supplement amounts here.
• Supplier occupancy limits, which differ by property.

Your quote shows the room count, the occupants per room, the bed arrangements, the meal plan and any single-occupancy supplement. We do not guarantee adjacent or connecting rooms until the quote confirms them. Hotel names are not shown on this page.

Choose Transport for the Whole Group and Its Luggage

Choose the vehicle by passengers excluding the driver, then by bags and equipment, seating, boarding needs and route suitability. A group larger than one vehicle’s capacity needs more than one vehicle, and the quote then shows each one.

These are candidates to assess, not vehicles included in the plan. Figures are from our fleet records, and most are confirmed per departure.

A seat count in a vehicle’s name is not a confirmed passenger number, and we do not choose a vehicle by capacity alone: luggage counts. Features such as charging, screens or reclining seats are not assumed unless the vehicle page lists them, and even then they are confirmed per vehicle. Pictures on the vehicle pages are model illustrations, not photographs of our fleet, and they are not evidence of seats, luggage space or features. We do not promise a specific vehicle before confirmation: the quote names the vehicle or an agreed equivalent.

Travelling from Different Cities?

Friends can travel from different cities and meet in Srinagar. What our records confirm is airport or railway-station pickup and drop for the booking group, listed in the inclusions. Beyond that:

• A common meeting point is the simplest arrangement: everyone arrives at Srinagar airport or railway station at about the same time.
• Separate arrival times, additional pickups, early arrivals, late departures and separate return transfers are not unlimited and are not assumed. Each one is confirmed through the quote, and any extra service is quoted separately.
• Early check-in and late check-out are not assumed.
• In the enquiry, give the organiser’s contact and your best estimate of arrivals. We do not ask for other travellers’ identity documents or ticket files at this stage.

Planning example, not the confirmed itinerary: if part of the group lands in the morning and part in the evening, the day-one plan, including the shikara ride, may need to change.

Choose Shared Experiences and Optional Extras

How Shared Activities Work for a Group

• Included in the plan: a 1-hour shikara ride, the Mughal gardens and old city, and the Pahalgam valleys by local vehicle, as the itinerary lists them. Entry tickets, ponies and local union vehicles are not included.
• Gulmarg Gondola (operated by J&K Cable Car Corporation, JKCCC): scheduled on day three but not included. Each traveller buys their own ticket online in their own ID, so the cost follows the people who ride.
• Optional, quoted separately: a local guide for the old city and gardens, a sunset shikara (a longer private boat), and the add-ons listed in the options. A houseboat night is only an optional add-on and is not part of this plan.
• If some travellers opt out of an activity, the others can still take part. Whether the group splits for part of a day depends on the activity and the vehicle, so tell us beforehand. We do not promise a separate vehicle, and we do not promise a refund for an activity someone does not use.
• No bonfire, music night, party, group game, trek or photography service is part of this plan, and there is no dedicated tour manager.

Confirm the Group Arrangements in Writing

Booking confirmation, who pays what, and how changes are handled are set out in your written quotation, before you confirm. We do not publish deposit percentages, split-payment arrangements, name-change rules or refund slabs on this page.

• A booking is confirmed only when we tell you so in writing, for the dates and services listed. An enquiry or a payment alone does not confirm it.
• Payment responsibility, changes to the number of travellers or rooms, partial cancellations and amendments to optional services are assessed against the terms in your quotation.
• Many costs, such as a room or a vehicle, are shared by the group, so one traveller leaving may not lower the price by an equal share.
• A change to a confirmed booking is not applied until we confirm it in writing.

• Gulmarg Gondola

  Tickets are booked online in each traveller’s own ID at jammukashmircablecar.com.

• Pahalgam valleys

  Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari need a local union vehicle, about ₹2,500–3,500 per vehicle per day, paid locally.

• Hill roads

  Cabs run with the AC off on steep hill roads.

• Winter

  Snow chains are carried in winter.

Travel Window and Conditions

Our records give Apr–Oct as the suggested travel period for this itinerary. That is a planning window, not a promise of access: roads, weather and operators decide what is open on your dates.

Our record lists April to October as the suggested window for this plan. Conditions still differ between Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam on the same day, and across the months.

We do not promise snow, fixed road access or unrestricted activity operation. Gondola operation, valley access and local vehicles depend on weather, access and the operators, and we confirm what applies to your dates in the quote.

• Gulmarg: the Gondola and meadow days depend on weather. Snow can limit access and operations.
• Pahalgam: the valley visits depend on access on the day.

Practical Preparation for This Trip

• Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. Your driver meets you at Srinagar airport or the railway station, and how much of day one remains depends on your arrival.
• Clothing: Gulmarg and Pahalgam are higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
• Walking: one day is rated moderate in the record (for example a meadow walk or a pony or foot approach). The rest are easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
• Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
• Tell us before booking: room and bedding needs, food preferences, mobility or access needs, and children’s ages. We pass them to the property and confirm what is possible; nothing is promised until your quotation states it.

Srinagar–Gulmarg–Pahalgam 5N/6D has the same nights as this plan: Srinagar 2 · Gulmarg 1 · Pahalgam 2. In our records the two plans also share the same inclusions, exclusions and indicative rates, and nearly the same day plan. The difference is how the enquiry is framed (group size, rooms and vehicle here) and the suggested window, April to October here and March to November there. We do not claim extra services for either.

Grand Kashmir 7N/8D (Srinagar 3 · Sonmarg 1 · Gulmarg 1 · Pahalgam 2) adds two nights: a third night in Srinagar and a Sonmarg overnight.
