Card prices are indicative, in Indian rupees, per person on twin sharing in the Deluxe category, for the lowest-priced season. They are not a quote and have no stated validity dates. Your written quote gives the price basis, occupancy, dates, inclusions and taxes for your trip.

Which plan fits?
Kashmir valley, by length: the 4N/5D Highlights plan is Srinagar 2, a houseboat night and Pahalgam 1; the 6N/7D plan is Srinagar 3, Gulmarg 1 and Pahalgam 2; the 6N/7D Slow Kashmir plan is three houseboat nights on Nigeen Lake and three in Pahalgam, with fewer drives.
By interest: the 5N/6D Winter plan (December to March in our records) is Srinagar 2, Gulmarg 2 and a houseboat night; the 5N/6D Culture and Crafts plan is Srinagar 3, Pahalgam 1 and a houseboat night, with an old-city walk and craft workshops; the 7N/8D Mountain Walks plan (June to September) is Srinagar 1, Sonmarg 2, Pahalgam 3 and Gulmarg 1, with easy-to-moderate walks of 2 to 5 hours, and you sleep in hotels each night.
Ladakh: the 6N/7D Ladakh plan starts and ends in Leh (Leh 4, Nubra 1, Pangong 1) with a rest day first. The 8N/9D Srinagar to Leh road trip crosses Zoji La and ends in Leh. The 10N/11D Kashmir–Ladakh plan combines Srinagar, Sonmarg, Kargil and five nights in Leh, and also ends in Leh, so your onward journey leaves from Leh airport.
The overland plans have long driving days and a planned rest day on arrival in Leh. We keep that pacing, and the plans are not compressed to fit in more places. Road conditions decide what is possible on your dates.

Not part of our listed services: visa processing, flight tickets, travel insurance and foreign-language guiding. We do not offer these, and we do not state that a guide speaks a particular language until we have confirmed it for the guide assigned.
Planning Your Arrival
Each plan begins in Srinagar. The first day in the plan is written around an arrival at Srinagar airport or the Srinagar railway station, and your driver meets you there.
Your arrival time decides how much of day one remains. The plan includes a shikara ride on the first evening, which depends on when you arrive. Please share your flight or train time as early as you can.
We do not assume that Srinagar airport has a direct flight from your country. An airport’s name does not show which routes operate, so check current schedules with airlines, and confirm every onward connection yourself. If you change plane in another Indian city, leave time for that connection.
Departure-day plans depend on the service you have booked. On the Kashmir plan the last day is a drive back to Srinagar for your flight or train, so leave early. On the Kashmir–Ladakh plan the last day is a transfer to Leh airport.
Srinagar airport has been working under runway-maintenance restrictions during 2026, including limited operating hours. Airline timetables can therefore differ from earlier years, so check the schedule for your own date.
Does the quote include airport transfers? The plans list airport or railway-station pickup and drop among their inclusions, for the arrival and departure points in the table above. Anything outside those points, a very late arrival or a separate pickup for part of your group is agreed in writing.
Entry Requirements and Destination Access
Rules differ by nationality, residence, route and date, and they change. We do not reproduce a nationality table because we could not keep it accurate. Use the official sources below, for your own passport and your own route. Booking with Kashmir Tour Plan does not satisfy any of these requirements.
Permission to enter India
Your passport, the type of visa or eVisa you need and how to apply are set by the Government of India. The official eVisa site states that no intermediary or travel agent is needed and warns against sharing personal information with unofficial websites. We do not apply for visas.
Permission to visit specific areas
Some areas, including parts of Ladakh, have their own permit rules. The Leh administration’s permit portal says which travellers need a Protected Area Permit for which places, by citizenship and passport type. Summaries on travel websites can be out of date, so read the portal for your own case and tell us your route.
Accommodation and local registration
Hotels and other places to stay may ask to see your passport and visa at check-in. Indian rules on registering foreign visitors are set by the authorities. We do not collect passport or visa details through this website.
Your package booking
A booking or a quote from us is only a travel arrangement on the ground. It is not a visa, a permit, a registration or a guarantee that you will be allowed to enter or travel to any place.

Stays and Meals
- We confirm room type, bedding, occupancy and meal plan in your written quote before you decide. Plans are priced on twin sharing, and breakfast and dinner are included in these two plans. Lunch is not.
- Hotel names are shared in the quote, not published on this website.
- On a houseboat, a room booking and the exclusive use of the whole boat are different arrangements, and the quote says which one it offers.
- Tell us about food preferences, room needs and access needs. We pass them to the property and confirm what it can provide. We cannot guarantee allergen-free food, a certified dietary standard (for example halal, vegetarian, vegan, Jain or kosher), step-free access or specific room facilities unless the provider confirms them in writing.
Ground Transport and Guides
Your vehicle comes with a driver. A driver is not a guide unless your quote says so, and we do not say that any driver speaks English or another language until it is confirmed for the person assigned.
A local guide is optional and quoted separately. Language, qualifications and biography are stated only once a guide is assigned and confirmed. Tell us the language you need and we will say whether we can confirm it.
Payments and Currency
- Quotes are in Indian rupees (INR). The rupee amount is the amount payable.
- The currency selector on this site shows an estimate next to rupee prices. It is a reference conversion, not an offer to settle in that currency, and not a guaranteed rate.
- This website takes no online payment. Our Terms of booking say a trip is confirmed when 10% of the quoted price is paid and a written confirmation with a reference number is sent, with the balance due on the date in your quote.
- We do not publish which international cards, bank transfers or other methods are accepted, or any transaction fees, on this website. Ask us for the payment arrangements for your booking before you rely on any of them.
- Cancellation charges depend on how close to travel you cancel and are stated in your quote. The cancellation policy does not list a visa, permit or flight problem as a reason for a refund, so read your quote’s written terms before buying non-refundable tickets.
Reference rates for 8 October 2026 (ECB via frankfurter.app). Estimates cover EUR, GBP, MYR, USD, AED; the rate is not live, and the AED figure is derived from the USD rate.
Connectivity and Practical Planning
Whether your overseas SIM, eSIM or roaming plan works in Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh depends on your operator and plan. Ask your operator about India, and about Jammu & Kashmir specifically, before you travel. We do not state that any overseas SIM or eSIM will work.
Rules for buying a local SIM as a visitor are set by Indian authorities. We have not confirmed the current conditions, so we do not state them here. Coverage can be limited in remote and high-altitude areas, so download maps and key documents in advance.
For Ladakh, read general altitude advice from a health authority and speak to your own doctor about your own situation. We do not give medical assurances, prescribe medication or clear anyone as fit to travel at altitude.
Travel Advisories and Insurance
Read the current travel advice from your own government for India and for Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh, before you book and again before you travel. Governments differ, and their advice changes.
As an example, on 6 October 2026 the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office page for India (last updated 9 July 2026) advised against all travel to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and said travel insurance could be invalidated if you travel against its advice. Your own government may say something different.
Ask your insurer in writing whether your policy covers your destination, the altitude, the activities you plan and travel against official advice. We do not sell insurance and cannot confirm what any policy covers.
Questions From Visitors Planning From Abroad
Are flights and airport transfers included?
Flights are not included unless your written quote lists them. The plans list airport or railway-station pickup and drop. Confirm your arrival and departure times with us so the first and last days fit.
Do you arrange visas or permits?
No. Check entry requirements with the official Indian sources linked above, and check any area permit for your exact route. Booking with us does not satisfy an official requirement, and we do not take passport scans through the website.
Will my guide speak my language?
We cannot promise a particular language. A driver is not a guide, and a guide’s languages are stated only once we have confirmed them for the person assigned. Tell us what you need.
Can I pay in my own currency?
Quotes are in Indian rupees. The currency selector shows an estimate only. Ask us about payment arrangements before you rely on any method, because accepted methods and fees are not published here.
Which hotels will we stay in?
The quote names the property and the room arrangement. Hotel names are not published on this website.
Can you cater for my food preferences?
Tell us what you eat and avoid. We pass it on and confirm what each property can provide, but we cannot guarantee allergen-free or certified meals unless the provider confirms them in writing.
Should I choose Kashmir or Kashmir–Ladakh?
The Kashmir plan is 6N/7D and stays in the valley. The Kashmir–Ladakh plan is 10N/11D, travels overland to Leh with long driving days and a rest day, and ends in Leh. Ladakh adds permit checks and altitude, so read the section above and speak to your doctor.
What happens after I send an enquiry?
Your enquiry is saved with a KTP-ENQ reference. A planner replies by your preferred method between 9 am and 9 pm IST. We then share a written itinerary and quote. Nothing is confirmed until you agree to it. We do not confirm a booking, a visa or a permit by sending an enquiry.
