Getting from Kolkata to the Start of Your Plan
By air
Published airline schedules list a nonstop service between Kolkata and Srinagar (SXR), with one airline listed. With a single carrier, a cancellation or schedule change can leave fewer direct alternatives than on routes with several airlines, so keep your dates flexible if you can. Check the current timetable with the airline.
Srinagar airport has been working under runway-maintenance restrictions during 2026, including limited operating hours. Airline timetables can therefore differ from earlier years, so check the schedule for your own date.
By rail
No through train runs from Kolkata to Srinagar. By rail you would travel to Jammu Tawi or Katra and then take a Vande Bharat to Srinagar.
We have not verified a direct service from Kolkata to Jammu Tawi or Katra for your dates. If you want to go by rail, check IRCTC or NTES and treat the rail journey and the onward leg as separate parts of your plan.

If your ticket departs from or connects through another city, tell us the airport and arrival time so we can plan the first day correctly.
