This plan overnights in Katra for one night, then spends two nights in Srinagar, one in Gulmarg and two in Pahalgam. Day 1 is arrival in Katra and registration for the RFID yatra card; Day 2 drives on to Srinagar.

The itinerary schedules no separate yatra or darshan day. If you want the walk to the shrine added, tell us: it changes the nights and the quotation, and it is not part of this plan as listed.

Suitable if you want to combine a Katra stop with the Kashmir valley in one booking and are comfortable with a day that is arrival, registration and rest rather than a full yatra day. Suggested period: March to November.

Why Choose This Itinerary

• Six nights are split Katra 1 · Srinagar 2 · Gulmarg 1 · Pahalgam 2. There are three changes of stay. The longest stay is 2 nights in Srinagar.
• 2 nights in Srinagar leave one day there that is not a transfer day.
• The day plans schedule Mughal gardens, old city, Gulmarg Gondola (tickets separate), St Mary’s Church, Aru, Betaab Valley. Entry tickets, ponies and local vehicles are not included unless the inclusions list them.
• The record rates five of the seven scheduled days as easy and two as moderate.
• The plan price covers rooms on twin sharing in the chosen tier; breakfast and dinner daily; private cab for all transfers and sightseeing (driver, fuel, tolls, parking).

What the Katra Day Covers

• Covered in the plan: arrival in Katra, RFID yatra card registration, and a night’s stay.
• The RFID yatra card is mandatory; we guide you through it. Registration and shrine access are official processes, not services we provide or guarantee.
• Helicopter bookings should be made only on the official Shrine Board site. Helicopter and train tickets are not part of this plan.
• No darshan timing, priority access or special entry is promised.

Official Sources for the Yatra

• Our travel arrangements (stays, transfers) are separate from official registration, passes and tickets, which the shrine authorities issue and which you complete yourself.
• For Vaishno Devi, yatra registration and the RFID yatra access card are handled through the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Helicopter and other tickets should be booked only through its official channels.

• Gulmarg Gondola

  Tickets are booked online in each traveller’s own ID at jammukashmircablecar.com.

• Pahalgam valleys

  Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari need a local union vehicle, about ₹2,500–3,500 per vehicle per day, paid locally.

• Vaishno Devi

  Vaishno Devi: RFID yatra card mandatory; book helicopters only on the official Shrine Board site.

• Hill roads

  Cabs run with the AC off on steep hill roads.

• Winter

  Snow chains are carried in winter.

Practical Preparation for This Trip

• Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. The first day is built around where you arrive, which we confirm with you.
• Clothing: Gulmarg and Pahalgam are higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
• Walking: two days are rated moderate in the record (for example a meadow walk or a pony or foot approach). The rest are easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
• Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
• Tell us before booking: room and bedding needs, food preferences, mobility or access needs, and children’s ages. We pass them to the property and confirm what is possible; nothing is promised until your quotation states it.
