Getting from Bengaluru to the Start of Your Plan
By air
Published airline schedules list nonstop flights between Bengaluru and Srinagar (SXR), with two airlines listed. It is one of the longer nonstop routes into Srinagar. Check timings for your dates with the airline.
Srinagar airport has been working under runway-maintenance restrictions during 2026, including limited operating hours. Airline timetables can therefore differ from earlier years, so check the schedule for your own date.
By rail
No through train runs from Bengaluru to Srinagar. By rail you would need to reach Jammu Tawi or Katra first and take a Vande Bharat on to Srinagar, which makes it a long journey with changes.
We have not verified a direct Bengaluru–Jammu Tawi or Bengaluru–Katra service for your dates. Check IRCTC or NTES before planning around rail.
Your departure point
Check the departure airport on your ticket. If you connect through another city, tell us so we know when you reach Srinagar.

How Much Time to Allow
Allow for the flight, the airport journeys and some rest. It is sensible not to count the arrival day as a full sightseeing day, and to plan your leave around the nights you spend in Kashmir.
A 4N/5D ground package is four nights in Kashmir. It is not a five-day trip from Bengaluru to Bengaluru once travel is included.
- Travel from Bengaluru: the journey to Kashmir and back is booked by you, before and after the plan.
- Nights in the plan: the ground package counts only the nights you sleep in Kashmir.
- Arrival and departure days: usually part-days, shaped by your tickets.
- Usable sightseeing time: whatever remains between arrival and departure, which your quote does not guarantee.
So a 4N/5D plan is not a five-day trip from Bengaluru to Bengaluru once travel is added.

Published schedules list nonstop flights on this route, with two airlines. Operating days and timings change by season, so confirm with the airline for your dates.
How many days of leave do I need from Bengaluru?
Count the nights of your chosen plan, add a day at each end for the journey, and decide whether you want a spare day in case of a delayed flight. We can suggest durations once we know your dates.
Is a three-night trip realistic from Bengaluru?
It is possible, but with the journey at both ends the nights in Kashmir are few. A four- or five-night plan gives more usable time. Ask us before you book tickets and we will compare the options.
What if my flight arrives late in the day?
Tell us the arrival time. We will keep the evening simple, with hotel check-in and rest, and start the sightseeing the next day.
Are my Bengaluru flights part of the quote?
