Hotels
Used in every destination on this page, from Srinagar to Leh. You choose a comfort category when you request options, and the proposed property is named in your quote.

Houseboats
A night or two on a houseboat in Srinagar, on Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake. A room on a shared boat and use of a whole boat are different arrangements, so please say which you want.
Camps on trek-support itineraries
Our trek-support plans (Warwan Valley, Tarsar–Marsar and the Kashmir Great Lakes) are costed with camp stays on the trail. These are for those itineraries only and are not a general stay option.
We do not list guesthouses, homestays or resorts as separate stay types because our records do not hold them as a category. If you have one in mind, mention it in your request and we will tell you what we can and cannot arrange.

What Standard, Deluxe, Premium and Luxury mean here
These are Kashmir Tour Plan’s own quote categories. They group the stays we price in the same way across destinations and are not official star ratings or a government classification. What a category contains in a particular place is stated in your quote.
Plan the Overnight Route
Where you sleep decides how much driving each day needs and how much time you have at each place. A route with two or three bases means a hotel change, a drive and a check-in each time. Staying longer in fewer places leaves more time at each stop and fewer transfers.
Not every destination needs an overnight stay. Some can be a long day trip from a base, and the right choice depends on the season, the road and how you like to travel. Ask us and we will compare the options for your dates.

Houseboat Planning
A houseboat stay is different from a hotel night. Before you choose one, ask the quote to state:
- Room or whole boat: whether you are booking a room on a shared boat or exclusive use of the boat.
- Access and boarding: how you reach the boat, where the vehicle stops and any steps or a small boat transfer involved.
- Heating and hot water: what is provided in the room and at what times.
- Meal plan: which meals are included and how they are served.
- Room configuration: the number of rooms and the bed arrangement.
- Transfers: luggage handling and arrival and departure arrangements.

What Your Accommodation Quote Specifies
Your quote is where the details are written down. Property names are supplied privately in the quote, not on this website. Expect it to state:
- The property name
- Dates and number of nights
- Room category
- Occupancy and bed arrangements
- Meal plan
- Taxes and charges
- Confirmed facilities
- Check-in and check-out terms
- Cancellation and amendment terms
- Availability or confirmation status
Sending a request does not reserve a room. A room is held only when the quote says it is confirmed.
Match Your Travel Needs
We ask about what you need rather than assuming that any stay suits everyone. Tell us, and the quote reflects it.
Couples
Tell us the room and bed type you want and how much privacy matters. On a houseboat, say whether you want a room on a shared boat or the whole boat.
Families with children
Share each child’s age on the travel dates. We ask whether an extra bed, a mattress or a second room is offered, and we do not assume connecting rooms.
Friends travelling together
Say how you want to split rooms and who shares. We check the room count and the vehicle for the whole group.
Senior travellers
Tell us about stairs, walking distance from the vehicle and any preference for a lower floor. We ask the property and report what it can confirm.
Specific access requirements
Describe the practical arrangements you want confirmed. We ask the property and tell you in the quote what it can and cannot provide; we do not promise suitability in advance.
Questions About Stays
When are property names shared?
In your quote. We do not publish hotel or houseboat names on this website. The quote names the proposed property for each night, with the room category and terms.
Are rooms confirmed instantly?
No. This site has no live availability and no instant booking. Sending a request does not reserve a room. We check options for your dates, and the quote tells you whether a room is confirmed.
How are room categories chosen?
You choose a preferred comfort level: Standard, Deluxe, Premium or Luxury. These are our own quote categories, not star ratings. We propose a property that fits it for your dates and say what the room offers.
Are meals and heating included?
Our plans are costed on breakfast and dinner, and the quote states the meal plan for each stay. Heating depends on the property and the season, so ask for it to be confirmed rather than assuming it.
How do family room arrangements work?
Tell us who is travelling and the children’s ages. The quote states the room type, occupancy and bed arrangement, including whether an extra bed or mattress is offered.
Is a houseboat private?
It depends on the booking. A room on a shared boat is not the same as exclusive use of the whole boat. Say which you want and the quote states which one is proposed.
What happens if I need to change or cancel?
Change and cancellation terms are specific to the property and the dates, and they are written in your quote. We do not state general refund terms on this page.
