Why a family of four is not one number
Three things decide the cost, and they change from family to family:
- Rooms. Two adults and two children can share one room only if the property allows it, and the bed arrangement is stated in your quote. Four adults need two rooms.
- Ages. A child’s age on the travel date affects the room, the bed and how the child is priced. Share every age when you ask.
- Vehicle. A vehicle for four fits a family with light luggage. More bags or equipment can mean a larger vehicle.

In our rate card, a child who shares the parents’ room adds only the per-person items in the plan, for example the shikara ride, to the room and vehicle costs the couple would already pay. The rate card does not hold extra-bed or mattress charges, so ask your quote to state how each child’s bed is provided and what it costs.

The second room is the main difference from the first table. Do not assume that the two cases cost the same, or that one is a small variation of the other.

A six-seat vehicle gives more space for bags. Compare the figures with the previous table to see what the larger vehicle adds. The vehicle is one cost for the family, not a per-person cost.

Avoid counting the same thing twice
- The vehicle is shared across the family: do not multiply it by four.
- Breakfast and dinner are in the plan: add lunches only.
- Tax is inside the total.
- If you switch to a larger vehicle, replace the vehicle cost, do not add a second one.

How are infants under 2 treated?
The rate card holds no charge for infants. Your quote states the terms, including any cot or bed arrangement.
What about teenagers?
The rate card treats children as 2 to 11. A teenager may be priced as an adult in the quote, so share the age.
Can two adults and two children take two rooms?
Yes, as a request. The quote then shows two rooms, and the price will be closer to the four-adult case than to the one-room case.
