Planning This Trip With Children
Please share the children’s ages and your room needs. We use them to plan rooms, vehicle and pace.
- Ages: how the quotation treats a child depends on age and bed arrangement. We do not publish child rates, so ask for them in your quote.
- Rooms: say whether you need one family room, an extra bed or two rooms. Availability differs by property and is confirmed in your quotation.
- Luggage: prams, car seats and several bags can mean a larger vehicle than the passenger count suggests. Tell us the bags you will bring.
- Breaks and pace: the longer transfer days are marked in the itinerary. Ask us to add a night if you want shorter days.
- Activities: Gondola phases, pony rides and uneven walks are not suitable for every child. Say what your children can do and we plan around it.

Houseboat: the night allocation does not include a houseboat stay. If you ask for one, it can replace one Srinagar hotel night (the trip stays at four nights) or be added as an extra night (a revised five-night quote). Your quotation says which.

Conditions differ by destination and by date. Srinagar is lower than Gulmarg and Pahalgam, so the weather you meet can change from one night to the next. Which roads, valleys and attractions are open on your dates is decided by conditions and the operators at the time.
- Gulmarg Gondola: operated by J&K Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC). Which phases run depends on weather and operations on the day, so check its current notices when you book tickets.
- Pahalgam valleys: access to Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari depends on conditions on the day.
- We do not promise snow, flowering dates, open attractions or fixed journey times for any month.

Practical Preparation for This Trip
- Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. Your driver meets you at Srinagar airport or the railway station, and how much of day one remains depends on your arrival.
- Clothing: Gulmarg and Pahalgam are higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
- Walking: one day is rated moderate in the record (for example a meadow walk or a pony or foot approach). The rest are easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
- Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
- Tell us before booking: room and bedding needs, food preferences, mobility or access needs, and children’s ages. We pass them to the property and confirm what is possible; nothing is promised until your quotation states it.

No. The package record lists hotel stays in the category you choose and does not include a houseboat. You can ask for a houseboat night instead of one Srinagar hotel night, which keeps four nights, or as an extra night, which makes a revised five-night quote. Your quotation says which.
Gulmarg Gondola tickets are not included; they are booked online in each traveller’s own ID with J&K Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC). A 1-hour shikara ride on Dal Lake is listed in the package inclusions, and a longer private sunset boat is an optional extra. Your quotation confirms both.
Day 1 is your arrival day, so how much of it remains for check-in and Dal Lake depends on when you land or arrive by train. Share your flight or train time and we say what is realistic. The same applies to Day 5: leave Pahalgam in time for your onward journey and share your departure time early.
