The Longest Route in Our List
The nights are Jammu, Katra, Patnitop, three in Srinagar, Gulmarg and two in Pahalgam. Day 1 is arrival in Jammu with an evening at Raghunath Temple; Day 2 drives to Katra; Day 3 goes to Patnitop; Day 4 to Srinagar. The Kashmir days then follow the usual valley circuit.
Day 2 combines the drive from Jammu with the RFID yatra card and the yatra arrangements. How long that takes depends on how you go up and on your arrival time, so we discuss the timing with you before you confirm. Suggested period: April to October.

The RFID yatra card is mandatory and registration is an official process you complete.
Helicopter tickets should be booked only on the official Shrine Board site and are not part of the plan.

Planning This Trip With Children
Please share the children’s ages and your room needs. We use them to plan rooms, vehicle and pace.
Ages: how the quotation treats a child depends on age and bed arrangement. We do not publish child rates, so ask for them in your quote.
Rooms: say whether you need one family room, an extra bed or two rooms. Availability differs by property and is confirmed in your quotation.
Luggage: prams, car seats and several bags can mean a larger vehicle than the passenger count suggests. Tell us the bags you will bring.
Breaks and pace: the longer transfer days are marked in the itinerary. Ask us to add a night if you want shorter days.
Activities: Gondola phases, pony rides and uneven walks are not suitable for every child. Say what your children can do and we plan around it.
Official Sources for the Yatra
Our travel arrangements (stays, transfers) are separate from official registration, passes and tickets, which the shrine authorities issue and which you complete yourself.
For Vaishno Devi, yatra registration and the RFID yatra access card are handled through the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Helicopter and other tickets should be booked only through its official channels.

Gulmarg: the Gondola and meadow days depend on weather. Snow can limit access and operations.
Pahalgam: the valley visits depend on access on the day.
Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. The first day is built around where you arrive, which we confirm with you.
Clothing: Gulmarg and Pahalgam are higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
Walking: two days are rated moderate in the record (for example a meadow walk or a pony or foot approach). The rest are easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
