A guide is not the same as a driver, and a sightseeing guide is not automatically qualified to lead a trek. We keep the types apart so that you ask for the right one.

Guide, Walk, Trek or Driver
Local sightseeing guide
Accompanies you at the places you visit and explains them. Our rate card lists half-day and full-day options, priced per group.
Heritage walk guide
A walk-focused day, for example in an old city area. We confirm whether we can arrange one for your place and dates before you plan around it.
Trek guide
Leading a trek is a different skill from sightseeing. For treks, see our trek-support plans and ask there; we do not offer a sightseeing guide as a trek guide.
Driver
A driver comes with your vehicle and is not a guide unless your quote says otherwise.

What is covered
- Arranging a local sightseeing guide for a half day or a full day where we can confirm one
- Agreeing the area, meeting point and duration with you beforehand

- Language skills, qualifications or biographies: none is stated until we can confirm them for the guide assigned
- The words licensed, certified or specialist, unless we have evidence for the actual guide
- Rescue services, equipment or permits for a trek
- Transport, entry tickets, meals or tips, unless the quote includes them

Pricing
Guides are priced per group, by the half day or full day. The figures come from our rate card, so they are indicative. Your quote confirms the price, taxes and anything that changes it.

Prices stay indicative until our rates are approved. Your quote states the final price, taxes, and the change and cancellation terms for your request. We do not state general refund terms on this page.

A guide is arranged only when you have agreed the quote. Until a guide is assigned, the quote says so. We do not promise instant confirmation or a fixed response time.
Questions About This Service
Is my driver also a guide?
No. A driver comes with the vehicle. A guide is a separate arrangement unless your quote says the driver will also guide.
Can a sightseeing guide lead a trek?
Not automatically. Trekking needs different skills. For treks, please see our trek-support plans and tell us what you want.
Which languages are available?
We confirm the languages for the guide assigned to you. Tell us what you need and we will say what we can arrange.
Are entry tickets and transport included?
Not unless the quote lists them. Tell us your plan and the quote says what is separate.
How long is a guided day?
It is agreed with you: a half day or a full day. We do not set a standard length here.
Do you provide rescue or trekking equipment?
We do not promise rescue services, equipment or permits unless they are confirmed in writing for your trek.
