Getting from Pune to the Start of Your Plan
By air
In the published schedules we checked, there is no nonstop flight between Pune and Srinagar (SXR). Travellers connect elsewhere, and the booking site shows the combinations for your dates. Look at the full journey and the layover.
A city with a nonstop service, such as Mumbai, is an alternative starting point. Compare the total travel including getting to that airport before deciding.
Srinagar airport has been working under runway-maintenance restrictions during 2026, including limited operating hours. Airline timetables can therefore differ from earlier years, so check the schedule for your own date.
By rail
No through train runs from Pune to Srinagar. By rail you would travel to Jammu Tawi or Katra, then take a Vande Bharat on to Srinagar.
We have not verified a direct Pune–Jammu Tawi or Pune–Katra service for your dates. Check IRCTC or NTES before planning around it.
Your departure point
We did not find a nonstop flight from Pune to Srinagar. Some travellers compare departing from a nearby city that has one, so ask us if you are weighing that.

How Much Time to Allow
Because the journey connects, plan more travel time than a nonstop route would need and avoid a tight return connection on the last day.

Is a short plan sensible if I am connecting from Pune?
The nights in Kashmir would be few relative to the journey. A longer plan often uses the travel better. We can compare two or three options for your dates.
What if I arrive after a delayed connection?
Send us the revised time and we will adjust the pickup. A very late arrival usually means check-in and rest, with sightseeing starting the next day.
