Getting from Mumbai to the Start of Your Plan
By air
Published airline schedules list nonstop flights between the Mumbai region and Srinagar (SXR), with more than one airline listed. Timetables show both Mumbai airports in different services, so read the airport name on your ticket. Schedules change by season; check your own dates with the airline.
Srinagar airport has been working under runway-maintenance restrictions during 2026, including limited operating hours. Airline timetables can therefore differ from earlier years, so check the schedule for your own date.
By rail
No through train runs from Mumbai to Srinagar. By rail you would travel to Jammu Tawi or Katra and continue on a Vande Bharat to Srinagar, which is a separate journey.
We have not verified a direct Mumbai–Jammu Tawi or Mumbai–Katra service for your dates, so check IRCTC or NTES. Compare the total journey and the number of changes with flying before deciding.
Your departure point
The Mumbai region has two airports. Check which one your ticket departs from and tell us; it affects your journey to the airport, not the Kashmir plan.

How Much Time to Allow
A nonstop flight keeps the travelling part of the trip short, but it still takes up part of a day at each end, and the airport transfer in Mumbai comes before it. Add the time from your home to the departure airport when you decide how much leave to take.
A 5N/6D ground package is five nights in Kashmir. Your home-to-home trip is longer once the flights and airport journeys are added.
- Travel from Mumbai: the journey to Kashmir and back is booked by you, before and after the plan.
- Nights in the plan: the ground package counts only the nights you sleep in Kashmir.
- Arrival and departure days: usually part-days, shaped by your tickets.
- Usable sightseeing time: whatever remains between arrival and departure, which your quote does not guarantee.
So a 4N/5D plan is not a five-day trip from Mumbai to Mumbai once travel is added.

Once you have booked a flight, send us the arrival time. If it lands in the afternoon we keep the first outing light; if it lands in the morning, we discuss how much to fit into the rest of the day.

- Late-night transfers and early hotel check-in are agreed with you in writing, not assumed.

Does a nonstop flight mean I can start sightseeing on arrival day?
Not necessarily. Arrival time decides it. Tell us your flight time and we will say what is realistic for that afternoon or morning rather than promising a full day.
Are flights from Mumbai included in the package price?
