Is This Short Break Right for You?

This is a two-destination short break. It suits travellers who have three nights for the ground trip, want to prioritise Srinagar and Gulmarg, and prefer a narrower selection of places to a longer circuit. It also suits groups whose arrival and departure times fit the plan: day one is an arrival day and day four is a departure day, so the full sightseeing happens on days two and three.

It is not a quick tour of all of Kashmir and it does not give four full sightseeing days. The plan has no Pahalgam or Sonmarg stop, and it is not a ski holiday: no skiing arrangements are part of it.

Make Your Four Days Work Around Your Flights or Trains

• The plan starts at Srinagar airport or Srinagar railway station (Vande Bharat) and ends with a transfer back to the airport or station. Pickup and drop are listed in the inclusions.
• Your arrival time decides what is possible on day one. The plan lists check-in and a sunset shikara ride that evening; we do not promise a full programme after every arrival.
• Your departure time decides day four. The day starts in Gulmarg with the drive back to Srinagar, so share your flight or train time before you book.
• The ground package is four days. Your holiday from home and back takes longer, because travel to and from Srinagar is not included. Flights and train tickets are not included.
• Early check-in and late check-out are not assumed. Ask for them, and your quote confirms whether they can be arranged.
• Planning examples, not the confirmed itinerary: an evening arrival may mean the shikara ride does not fit that day, and an early flight may mean leaving Gulmarg early on day four.

Your Three-Night Stay Plan

The order of the stops follows the day-wise itinerary below. Nights are stays, not day visits: a place you only visit by day is not counted. Hotel names, room categories and availability are shared in your quotation before confirmation.

What Is Planned During Your Srinagar Stay?

Only the following are in the day plan. Nothing else is added.

• Included: a 1-hour shikara ride on Dal Lake, listed on arrival day and subject to your arrival time.
• Included: the Mughal gardens (Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi) in the morning of day two, and the old city and Jamia Masjid after lunch.
• Transport: the private cab covers these transfers and sightseeing (driver, fuel, tolls, parking).
• Not included: garden and other entry tickets.
• Optional, quoted separately: a local guide for the old city and gardens, and a sunset shikara, which is a longer private boat. A houseboat night is also listed as an optional add-on and is not part of this plan.

The plan does not schedule shopping stops. A driver is not automatically a guide.

What the Gulmarg Night Adds

This plan includes an overnight stay in Gulmarg, not only a day visit. That changes the evening and the next morning, but it does not give two full Gulmarg days.

• Day three combines the drive from Srinagar with the Gondola afternoon, a meadow walk and St Mary’s Church, so usable activity time depends on when you reach Gulmarg.
• Day four starts in Gulmarg and begins with the drive back, so the morning is mostly travel.
• The accommodation, its location and access are confirmed in your quote. We do not promise walking distance to the Gondola or other sights, a particular view, or snow.
• Each activity needs its own inclusion and operating check, covered in the next section.

Confirm Activities Before You Travel

The Gulmarg Gondola is operated by J&K Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC). In this plan:

• The Gondola is scheduled on the afternoon of day three, with Phase 1 to Kongdoori and Phase 2 on clear days.
• Gondola tickets are not included. Each traveller’s ticket is booked online in their own ID, and we remind you when booking opens.
• Which phases run, and when, depends on weather and JKCCC operations. We do not promise a phase, priority access or a time slot.
• The cab covers the road transfer. Guide assistance for the Gondola is not part of the plan.
• Skiing is not part of this plan. We do not offer equipment hire, instruction or eligibility advice for it here.

Your quote specifies the accommodation category, room occupancy, bed arrangements, meal plan, relevant facilities, pickup and drop-off, the vehicle, sightseeing coverage and local transfers. The inclusions list breakfast and dinner daily and airport or railway-station pickup and drop.

• Hotel names are not shown here. We do not describe views, balconies, heating or upgrades in advance.
• The vehicles below are options to assess, not models included in the plan. A four-passenger sedan carries about two medium bags, so check your luggage against the passenger count.
• The driver is not automatically a guide.

Clothing: Gulmarg is higher and usually cooler than Srinagar in any month, and the weather can differ between the two on the same day. Carry layers.

Activities and roads: Gondola operation and meadow access depend on weather and the operator and can change through the year. We do not promise snow, flowers or uninterrupted access.

Accommodation and daylight: heating and other facilities differ by property and date, and daylight hours change through the year. The Gondola is scheduled for the afternoon of day three, so ask what time it runs until on your dates.

• Gulmarg: the Gondola and meadow days depend on weather. Snow can limit access and operations.

Practical Preparation for This Trip

• Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. Your driver meets you at Srinagar airport or the railway station, and how much of day one remains depends on your arrival.
• Clothing: Gulmarg is higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
• Walking: one day is rated moderate in the record (for example a meadow walk or a pony or foot approach). The rest are easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
• Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
• Tell us before booking: room and bedding needs, food preferences, mobility or access needs, and children’s ages. We pass them to the property and confirm what is possible; nothing is promised until your quotation states it.
