Four Nights Based in Pahalgam

After a night in Srinagar, Day 2 drives to Pahalgam with stops at the Pampore saffron fields and the Awantipora ruins. The Pahalgam days list the Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari valleys by local union vehicle, a slow day by the Lidder river with Mamleshwar Temple and optional rafting where safe, and a leisure day. No yatra day is scheduled.

The period is given as “yatra dates only”. Yatra dates, registration and rules come from the yatra authorities and change, so we do not state them.

• We are not affiliated with a shrine board and do not promise darshan, a time slot or priority access.

  Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari need a local union vehicle, about ₹2,500–3,500 per vehicle per day, paid locally.

  Cabs run with the AC off on steep hill roads.

  Snow chains are carried in winter.

Practical Preparation for This Trip

• Arrival: share your flight or train number and time as soon as you book it. Your driver meets you at Srinagar airport or the railway station, and how much of day one remains depends on your arrival.
• Clothing: Pahalgam is higher and usually cooler than Srinagar, so carry layers whatever the month. Waterproof shoes with grip help on meadow and valley paths.
• Walking: the record rates every scheduled day as easy. Tell us if stairs, slopes or long drives are a concern.
• Luggage: tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. It decides whether a sedan is enough or a larger vehicle is better. See the vehicle pages for luggage guidance.
• Tell us before booking: room and bedding needs, food preferences, mobility or access needs, and children’s ages. We pass them to the property and confirm what is possible; nothing is promised until your quotation states it.
