Choose by Travel Requirement

Couples or small families

For two to four people with moderate bags, a sedan is usually enough. Add a third row if there are children or a grandparent.

Maruti Swift DzireToyota EtiosToyota GlanzaMaruti Ertiga / Toyota Rumion

Families with larger bags

Hard suitcases fill a boot quickly. An MPV or SUV gives more room, though a third row in use leaves little luggage space.

Larger groups

From about eight travellers, a van, Tempo Traveller or minibus keeps the group together. Ask about roof carriers and where large vehicles can stop.

Longer road journeys

On drives of several hours, seat style and leg room matter more than cost. Compare seating arrangements below and confirm the layout for your vehicle.

Premium seating preferences

Captain seats, reclining seats and conversion layouts differ by vehicle and variant. We list only what each vehicle is recorded as having and confirm the rest before you book.

Why a larger vehicle may suit you

Luggage and comfort can justify a bigger vehicle than the passenger count alone suggests. Five adults with full suitcases, or six people on a long mountain drive, usually travel better with a spare row.

What Your Quote Specifies

We state each item; we do not assume any of them is included.

  • The vehicle, or the agreed equivalent.
  • Travel dates and itinerary.
  • Pickup and drop-off points.
  • Included distance or hours, where the rate has them.
  • Driver allowance.
  • Fuel.
  • Parking.
  • Tolls.
  • Taxes.
  • Waiting time and overtime terms.
  • Outstation or one-way return charges, where they apply.

How we price

Our working rate card is a flat per-day rate for one vehicle with a driver, set by season (off, shoulder or peak), plus an airport or station transfer rate. Our rate card is still being finalised, so every figure shown is an indicative planning guide, not a confirmed price.

Not yet settled: whether fuel, driver allowance, tolls and parking sit inside the day rate, and the included hours or distance. Your quote states each one in writing.

Local Transport and Winter Planning

Access depends on the place, the weather and local rules, not only on the vehicle you choose.

  • At some Pahalgam valley points, such as Betaab, Aru and Chandanwari, local union vehicles operate. You may change vehicles there.
  • Around the Gulmarg Gondola area and for Sonmarg ponies, local rules apply.
  • In snow, chains can be arranged on request. We confirm this for your dates; it is not assumed.
  • For deep winter and Leh-side routes we usually suggest a higher-clearance SUV, but that is a suggestion, not a promise of access.
  • Ladakh sightseeing may need Ladakh-registered taxis; we confirm the current arrangement for your itinerary.

What we confirm for your trip

Which stops are reachable on your dates, where a change of vehicle is needed, and whether a larger vehicle can park. We do not promise that any one vehicle can reach every sightseeing point.

These notes come from our own operating records. They are not an official road-status service, so we do not label them as checked on a given day.

FAQ

Vehicle Rental Questions

Something else? Ask a planner on WhatsApp: +91 60058 51998 (9 am–9 pm IST).

How do I choose a vehicle for Kashmir?

Start with the number of passengers excluding the driver, then add the bags. Your route and season matter too: valley-floor days suit most vehicles, while deep winter and high-altitude routes call for a more capable one. Tell us all three and we will suggest options and confirm the details in your quote.

How do passengers and luggage affect the choice?

Seats and luggage compete for the same space. A vehicle that seats six may only carry light bags when every seat is used, and folding a row for bags removes seats. If your bags are large or numerous, a bigger vehicle than the passenger count suggests is often the more comfortable choice.

Is the driver included?

Yes. Every vehicle is chauffeur-driven with an experienced local driver, and we do not offer self-drive. The driver seat is separate from the passenger numbers shown. Whether driver allowance and other driver costs sit inside the rate is written in your quote.

What does the quote cover?

The quote names the vehicle or agreed equivalent, your dates and itinerary, pickup and drop-off, the rate basis, and how fuel, driver allowance, parking, tolls, taxes, waiting time and any one-way or outstation charges are handled. We do not assume any of these are included; each is stated.

How is multi-day travel priced?

Our working rate card is a flat per-day rate for a vehicle with a driver, by season. Your quote states the number of days, any included hours or distance, and what happens beyond them. The figures on our pages are indicative until the rate card is approved.

Is a specific vehicle guaranteed?

You are quoted a named model or an agreed equivalent. Registration, driver and exact seating arrangement are confirmed closer to travel and shared on WhatsApp. We do not guarantee a particular individual vehicle in advance.

How does winter affect vehicle arrangements?

Snow, closures and local rules decide which roads and sightseeing points are reachable on a given day. Some plans need chains, a different vehicle, or a change to local union vehicles at certain stops. We confirm the arrangement for your dates and do not promise access to any snow-affected road in advance.
