The Kashmir Great Lakes trek is a 7–8 day walk of about 70 km from near Sonmarg to Naranag, passing a chain of alpine lakes — Vishansar, Kishansar, Gadsar, Satsar and Gangabal. The highest point is Gadsar Pass at about 4,200 m. Season is July to September. It is moderate to difficult and needs good fitness.
