South Kashmir Trip Cost: Add a Day or Choose a Plan

The short answer

There are three ways to include South Kashmir: add a day to a trip you already have, choose a short plan, or take a combined route. Our rate card lists an offbeat day (Kokernag, Verinag and Achabal) as an add-on at ₹1,500 per vehicle, indicative. Plans cost more because they add nights: Daksum & Sinthan Top is ₹29,499 and Complete Kashmir with South Kashmir is ₹76,599 in September for two adults.

Scope and assumptions
  • Totals are indicative, from our rate card. Two adults sharing a room, Deluxe category, the plan’s standard vehicle, breakfast and dinner, GST in the total.
  • South Kashmir is not equally served by stays across the region, and some plans reach it by day trip from Srinagar. See the plans for where you sleep.
  • Not included: flights or trains to Kashmir, entry and activity tickets, lunches, tips and personal spending.

Complete Kashmir with South Kashmir adds South Kashmir to the full Kashmir circuit and ends with a second stay in Srinagar. Plans differ in nights, so compare the overnights as well as the totals.

When an overnight fits

A night in the south suits a plan that is built around it, such as Daksum & Sinthan Top, because the drives are shorter when you sleep nearby. Within a long Kashmir route, a day trip from Srinagar adds less than a new hotel change. We do not recommend one over the other for everyone.
