Quick answer

Indian travellers no longer need a separate Inner Line Permit for Ladakh's usual circuits; they pay an environment fee and a per-day wildlife fee online at lahdclehpermit.in and carry the receipt for Nubra, Pangong and Tso Moriri. Foreign nationals still need a Protected Area Permit through a registered agent. Rules change, so confirm before travel.

For Indian citizens

Pay online at lahdclehpermit.in (or at the Leh DC office), print the receipt, and carry it with ID at checkposts. Reported fees: about ₹400 environment fee plus ₹20 per day wildlife fee.

For foreign nationals

A Protected Area Permit (PAP) through a registered Leh travel agent; some areas have extra restrictions.

Where it's checked

Checkposts on the routes to Nubra, Pangong and Tso Moriri.

How we handle it

We confirm current rules, help with the online fee, and check receipts before you leave Leh.

FAQ

Not a separate ILP; pay the fee and carry the receipt.
